Skip the clinic: minor ailments your pharmacist can treat

You don’t always need a doctor’s appointment for a common health concern. In Ontario, pharmacists can now assess and, when appropriate, prescribe treatment for a growing list of minor ailments — often the same day.

That list includes things like cold sores, pink eye, urinary tract infections, seasonal allergies, acid reflux, insect bites, eczema, and more. Our pharmacist will ask about your symptoms and history, recommend the right treatment, and prescribe medication if it’s needed.

Many of these assessments are covered by OHIP at no cost to you. Walk in during business hours or book an appointment — and if it turns out to be something we can’t treat here, we’ll point you in the right direction. There’s no charge to ask.
