Getting ready for flu season

Flu season in Ontario usually runs from late fall through early spring. Getting your flu shot in the fall gives your body time to build protection before the virus starts circulating widely.

The flu shot is recommended for almost everyone six months and older, and it’s especially important for seniors, young children, pregnant patients, and anyone with a chronic condition such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease. It’s free with your Ontario health card.

You don’t need a doctor’s appointment — our certified pharmacists give flu shots right at the pharmacy. Walk in during business hours, or book a time online so there’s no wait. If you’re due for a COVID-19 booster, you can often get both in the same visit.
